Monday - first day of work...

First day of work was Monday. I woke up at about 6am and got ready for work. Though Tom said the office was very casual, I just couldn't do that my first day. I wore a nice black skirt and purple blouse. I figure I can dress down after the first day. I got so use to wearing business clothes at my last few jobs that I am at a loss of what to wear in a casual office. I do have a great pink t-shirt that I will wear later this week. Bad Kitty, which some of you have seen. It took a couple of hours for me to get set up with logins and such, but that's normal. It took a couple of hours for the computer to get setup, and then I spent most of the day learning stuff. Today was pretty much the same. I think I will be getting my first client tomorrow. I am really looking forward to that. The system they use here to create websites is really cool. I can't tell you any more about it because I would have to kill you after I told you. Since spies might be reading my blog, let's just say that this stuff is really great. ha ha ha. That's all I will say. You can't make me say anything else. No. I won't.

When I got home, I made dinner and much like Mr. Rogers, I changed into my comfy clothes. I lounged around and watched tv. Tonight will be different. I am going to explore the MALL. Then I will go home and change and watch tv. Who knows? I might even crochet!

The office set up reminds me of something out of a movie or tv show. Similar to what Mayor Mike Bloomberg did in his city hall building, this office is mostly open space. I have never worked in an office with no cubicles. It is lovely. There is a staircase that goes up to the Big Enchilada's office, just like in 30 Something or one of those swanky shows. The building was built in the early 1900s. It is brick with lots of windows and an open ceiling (beams, beams, everywhere...) Even the heater duct is painted red for our pleasure. (This will be a perfect place for Mrs. Han Solo to decorate for the December holidays! Evil laughter ensues. I took a walk at lunch today and found a really yummy bread shop. There is also a futon shop next door to the bread place which I might have to check out tomorrow. It rained a bit while I was out and about. I know there will be plenty more rain where that came from. I am glad I have three umbrellas. Now if I could just remember to take them with me when I go inside.

It is dark out. Ciao.
