In the wee hours of the morning... what to do?

This morning (or should I say yesterday morning?) I woke up feeling better than the day before. I owed it all to the cough medicine. It was a busy day. Lots to do. Clients to talk to. Having a cold, I got lots of sympathy from my clients, which was swell. One of my Florida clients told me about the nice 80-degree weather and told me he'd help me buy a car if I needed. Isn't that nice? Anyhoo, there are clients with multiple sites, which takes too much mental coordination.

I went home and did the Wednesday night line up of the soap and Alias. I then started watching PBS, who was doing a show on the Harlem Globtrotters. A great show! They've been an organization since the 1930s. Who knew?

I was feeling so crappy, I thought about going to bed at 10:30. I couldn't sleep because of the cough and runny nose. I have been up since 1:00, and am now getting that second wind, people speak of. So, what to do, what to do? There are reruns of the Tonight show on with Kevin Bacon. Mildly entertaining. There is surfing the Internet (which I can't do while I blog), there is reading, eating (a very bad idea), and wishing I had a tubby I could lie in right about now with super hot water. I know, I know. I can always pop in the shower and get a nice steam for my lungs. I don't want to do that. I want a bathtub!!

I know! I will go read my friend's blogs.

Krakatowa - OMIGAWD

August 1883 - Krakatowa

I love PBS. I am watching a bit of a documentary that talked about the Tsunami disaster of 2004 and the Krakatowa eruption of 1883, which produced tsunami conditions. For the 2004 tsunami, it was really good to learn more about how the tsunami and earthquake happened and why some areas in it's path were left unscathed. The power of the water and the pressure of the earth is midblowing. Krakatowa's tsunami was more powerful than the tsunami of 2004. It is absolutely fascinating. They said that the blast from the erruption was heard up to 2,000 miles away, reaching as far as Perth, Australia. The erruption sent 11 cubic miles of dust and gas in the upper atmosphere. It was carried by jetstream over 11% of the earth and reflected solar ratiation. It cooled the earth by 1/2 a degree celcius and turned the skies blood red as far north as England. Final shockwaves reverberated around the world 7 times and was felt up to 5 days later. As I think I said with the 2004 tsunami, it reminds me of the St. Helen's blast. I remember ash falling in Southern California. Anak Krakatowa grows 15 feet a year. It's the baby of Krakatowa and about as high as Krakatowa was when it errupted. To find out more information, check it out at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/tsunami/. So amazing.

As the narrator says, we need to remember that we live on an active planet.

This was the best thing I have seen on TV in days.

By doze id stuffed dup

What started out as a little bronchitis, is now a cold. Many people in the office are sick, so now I am just one of them. I feel like my head is stuffed with cotton. Though I am feeling a little achy, I am poop-dead tired more than anything. I was going to go to the gym today, but am feeling to icky to go. I don't want to swim either. Ick. Cough.

Long day - almost five months and WE'RE #1!!!

It was a very long day today. I have several clients who have detailed accounts. It is a challenge for me to multi-task them sometimes. I can spend all day on one. At least I am not the only one with the problem. I am among friends or at least sympathizers. I guess that makes me feel better. I really should work on Saturday, to catch up on the new clients I haven't even read up on. We shall see. I am always open to a better offer. There haven't been many movies that I want to see. I can't imagine spending the whole weekend in my apartment. That would be horrible. I did entertain the thought of just filling up the car with fuel and driving. We will see where it takes me. Maybe New York? Boston? Or just exploring Vermont. It is payday on Friday, so potentially, I could stay at a hotel. I have been at this job for almost five months. I was at McElroy for five months. Hollywood.com for five months. The Galef Institute for eight months. I just find it interesting that I have been here for five months already. I hope to be here for some time. Sure, the lack of old familiar things and people bums me out from time to time, but Vermont is a refreshing change.

I am amazed. My bowling team, The Galactic Gutter Gals, was in FIRST PLACE (as of last week.) Tonight we played against a team that was really good and nice. Our outrageously high handicap still allowed them to win. I was so happy for them. I did get three strikes in the first game, two in the second and two in the third. I was thrilled about that. I think it was the magic green ball I used.

Angie has made it through another round on the Apprentice. Good for her!!!

Sunday and the sugar houses

I really should take a moment to share about my Sunday, as another one is fast approaching. This past Sunday, I went with Carrie to breakfast at Denny's. We met up with Elissa and drove to two maple sugar houses. Maple sugar is big in Vermont. It's famous. And I learned so much!!

The first one was at Shelburne Farms, in Shelburne. It was about 20 minutes from the office. There is a large farm with cattle, sheep, goats and llamas. We hiked up a hill to one of the sugar houses. They have two sugar houses and do over 500 taps. We watched on of the workers explaining the tapping process. They are careful to not overtap a tree. They attach a big bucket that looks like it's about 2-3 gallons of sap. The rate of the buckets filling depends on several things - the tree girth/age, weather and length of tapping time. Some trees can fill up 3 buckets a day of sap and go for weeks at that pace. Eventually, the hole closes up and that's the end of the season for that tree. We then went into a sugar house and watched the process. It takes 40 gallons of sap to produce o1 gallon of sugar. They have a big vat that is heated by wood and stirred constantly. They are always checking the levels (3") and making sure the temperature stays steady. It smelled sugary and woodsy in the sugar house. They explained the grades of maple sugar and let us sample. Fancy, is harvested at the beginning of the season and is lighter in color. Grade A is prime season maple sugar. Grade B and C are thicker and darker because of the natural bacteria changing in cell structure. Sometimes the workers have to work around the clock if they are having a big harvest. It seems like the amount really depends on the weather. The weather has to be warmish in the daytime (40) and below freezing at night (20 is good). The season of harvesting maple sugar is only about 4 weeks long. Shelburne farms does tours of the cheese making process during the summer. I will check that out for sure.

We then went to Palmer's sugar house, which is a much smaller farm also in Shelburne. There we saw a similar vat and heating process. They had maple cotton candy, sugar on snow, syrup and candy. We tried sugar on snow. I have to say that I am not a huge fan of sugar on snow. If it was punch on snow, that would rock. But there aren't any punch trees. I think coconut on snow might be tasty. But I think it would really change the whole concept. I am glad I did a very Vermont touristy thing. We had a great time doing it too.

Tonight is The Apprentice and bowling. I can't believe our team is doing so well! Thank heaven for handicaps!!

March 22, 2005

I am calmer. More composed.

Though the earlier issue really annoyed me, I have found peace. It is near the end of the day. I have taken a brief moment to relax. I am calm.

By the way, my friend Steve (one of the four Steves - there are no others except my cat) just came back from a fabulous cruise. I am so jealous, but know that one day, I will live on my own ship http://www.freedomship.com/. I am so excited he had the opportunity to take a great vacation like that. Now, if I can just get some of you to come to Burlington to visit... or rendez-vous in New York or Boston....

@#$%

As there is no training manual at work (there is one in progress), I have been wasting my time at setting up parts of my projects when I didn't need to set that part up at all. I just found out. I am boiling with irritation.

Now I know.

Friday and Saturday - the fun never ends

Friday was a really busy day at work. Big projects, poor time management, wishing it was the weekend. When I came home I had two DVDs waiting for me. I watched Queer as Folk and another lovely Sean Bean episode of Sharpe. Peter Postlewaite played his nemisis. He did a really great job as a slimy, sinister man. And of course, Sean Bean... sigh. I was also very inspired to complete a project. I took the CD rack I bought last weekend and not only put a primer on it, but stained it too!! I am going to Michael's tomorrow to get a top coat to complete the project. Tomorrow or Monday I will organize the CDs and finally put the plastic container to rest. One less plastic storage container/furniture!! Yippee! I feel like I acomplished something. It may not seem much to you, dear readers, but for those of you who know me, finishing craft projects is a rare thing.

Today I gained at WW, went grocery shopping and watched Cellular. As far as the grocery shopping goes, WW has a program called The Core. I haven't tried that part of WW, but will this week. The positive thing is there is a whole list of foods I can eat anytime as much as I want. (I need to figure out what "full" means...) The down side, is it is limited in breads. :( Then the question comes am I happy the way things are going? No. Do I want to change? Yes. Am I willing to make that change? Yes. I really just don't want to be the same size or bigger when I come to LA in May. That means of course, that I have to get my butt in gear. Sitting watching tv doesn't help. Balance. Balance. Balance. Speaking of TV, the University of Vermont is in the college basketball playoffs. They just beat the #1 team in their section, and are scheduled to play tonight. It's nothing but playoffs and golf on tv all week. It's very exciting here in Vermont and especially Burlington to have the state school be in the playoffs. Burlington is a college town. Much like Chapman and Orange. ha ha ha ha

Sunday I am going to church of nature. Be one with the out of doors. Well, some of it will be in the car. The state of Vermont is doing a statewide open house for sugar farms. Carrie, Elissa and I are going to check out a few. I am really looking forward to that. I will take pictures of course. And I will put them online. Stay tuned.

Briefly on Fiddler, sunshine, food and St. Patrick's Day

Sunday

After church, I did some errands about town and watched some DVDs. Then I went to the Flynn Theater to see the traveling Broadway cast performance of Fiddler on the Roof. The main dude who played Tevia, has done over 2,500 performances of that role. Whew! Though it seemed like he was walking through the part from time to time, everybody else (except for the beggar) was really great. They had a small band, which was fine. The costumes and sets were good. I really enjoyed it. The Flynn theater is about the size of one of those big theaters at the Cineplex Odeon at Universal. Not as big as the Kodak, or the Pantages. Maybe about the size of the El Capitan. It was made in 1930 and was originally used as a vaudville theater. It was a movie theater for about 50 years and then turned back into a regular theater. Audra MacDonald is performing there in a few weeks. I really want to go see her.

Monday
I JOINED THE YMCA! I WENT SWIMMING! The plan is to go 3-4 times a week and work up to 5-6. I really loved being in the water. It was so refreshing.

Tuesday
Elissa came over after work and I showed her how to crochet. (Being the expert that I am. ha ha ha ) We had a good time. I made rotini with Paul Newman's sauce (and added onions and mushrooms.) It was sooo good. So good in fact, that I had it Wednesday and Thursday for lunch! ha ha!

Wednesday
I stayed at work until 8:30. Why, you ask? SOOO much to do. I was glad I stayed. I made quite a bit of progress. Funny thing in this office (and I guess in every office) is how communication can always be improved. Our company rolled out a new thingamagig (for sales and support to promote) before telling support they were doing it. Support knew that it was coming, but all of a sudden they started getting calls about it and some of them had no idea how to help the clients because they hadn't been told how it worked. I also found out we have a fax machine upstairs (near our area) that has been working for a month now and nobody told anybody in my department (it would have been useful.) I rarely talk about work because I know some of you are my co-workers reading this. I just was frustrated with the lack of communication and needed to express myself.

Thursday - It's St. Patrick's Day!!!
I started off the morning in the office by speaking in a pretty awful Irish accent. However, it was well recieved. I think Tom felt it would cause his Irish brother-in-law a stroke, because it was so bad. I LOVE IT!

Today is a gorgeous, sunny day with clear, blue skies. I mailed off my tax return and had my window down while I drove in the 36 degree weather. It felt so nice out. I am excited to see Spring. Did I mention how lovely it was feeling the sunshine? Ah, so dreamy!!!!

Tonight is bowling.

March 12, 2005

What an exciting Saturday!

I went to WW per usual. Lost one of the pounds I gained the week before. Sigh. Then I went to Essex Junction where I took my car in for an oil change. It has been over three months since I went. The dude asked me why I was coming in since I was under 1,000 miles. Uh, hello? Isn't the rule of thumb that you take the car in every 3,000 OR three months, whichever one comes in first? DUH! Anyhow, after that excitement (I have oil leaks too, not too excited about that because that leads to trouble...) I went to Sam's Unfinished Furniture. I am on the quest for a desk. I can type with the laptop on my lap or tv tray, but I really need a desk where I can do desky things. I found what I wanted, but am not at the price level of it yet. It is called a postmaster's desk. I found a student desk at a thrift store, that I just might buy and refurbish, if it isn't particle board. Anyhooo, I was also on a quest to find a cd rack. AND I DID! It is pine and holds about 225 CDs which should suffice. I spent more on that than I would have liked, but it is a good piece that I would keep around. It's so hard for me to fancy up my apartment. On one hand, I want to have a place that I feel comfortable in, on the other hand, I am cheap. I don't want to invest lots of money in things. I have a bunch of crap in storage that is just sitting there. What about that stuff? (Don't worry, I have plans to eliminate.) I digress....

After the exciting furniture purchase, I went to Costco and bought strawberries, pita chips and a great Bette Midler CD. She sings Rosemary Clooney tunes. I really like it, and it was pretty cheap!! After THAT (I know, so much excitement already) I had lunch with Tom at Tortilla Flat. I was hoping it would be delicious Mexican food. Well, it wasn't. VERY mediocre. Sad that people in the East don't know the joys of great guac, good salsa and creamy, smooth flan. Maybe that's really my purpose here. To bring that to Vermont. ha ha ha! We had a good time, even with the blah food. I went to work for a couple of hours to set up one of my new clients. I am really glad I did that. It will help me on Monday. I could have tried to do it from home, but I don't want home to be my office, unless I have to. I then came home and did my regular grocery shopping. I have to do laundry tomorrow, that's for sure. I have watched a couple of movies and was just channel flipping when I thought I should take a blog moment so you can share with me this exciting day.

I almost forgot one of the most exciting things... Sparky has clean water! I changed that this evening. Much more exciting than doing dishes (which I must do tomorrow as well.)

Time for bed. All of this excitement has made me so tired.

I'm going to see FIDDLER!

Hey Everybody! I am going to see the touring Broadway cast production of Fiddler on the Roof tomorrow night. I am so excited to see a show. I will let you know how it was.

There are a couple of pictures I just posted. One is of my dot and if you go back to the end of February, you can see a couple of Oscar party pictures.

Tongue hurts - damn tomato

If you didn't know this, I am slightly allergic to tomatoes. Not to the level I would die, but bad things happen to my tongue. It hurts. Fresh tomato in the chili I had for lunch. Woe is me.

I was thinking tonight of going to see a live string quartet, but now I am thinking of paying the piper on Monday to see Fiddler on the Roof. I have seen it before, including a good performance of it at the Shubert. However, I am desparate for entertainment that isn't a movie. The quandry - live music or theater? I can't do both, at least from the choices I have this weekend. As the quartet is in the next 1.5 hrs, I think I need to decide quickly. Hmmm. What to do, what to do.

I think musical theater is where it is at. I will work tomorrow and see a movie. Ah, the life of Riley!

I have a bindi, and I am not even Hindu!

Normally I wouldn't be so public about my skin condition, but I had a funny thing happen at bowling last night that I just had to report. But I have to back up a day or two.

The other day, I was grooming, as most primates tend to do now and then. I got a boo-boo in-between my eyebrows. Of course I kept picking at it, (gross, I know. But you do these things too, don't deny it. EVERYBODY DOES.) and it developed a scab, of course. What the hell was I thinking? Too late. So for the last few days, I have had a circular scab in-between my eyebrows. It looks like a bindi (a reusable, adhesive, decoration that is used by women and placed on the forehead between the eyebrows. a traditional ornament that was used for women to symbolize that they are married is not used by women of all ages to add color and pizzazz to their outfit.) And no makeup will cover it up.

Flash forward to last night...

I was sitting talking with this chick who was there to watch Darlene (on my team) and she asked me if I was from India. I had no idea until after the conversation why she would ask me such a thing. Hilarious! But now I have this embarassing dot on my forehead. Lesson to you all - don't pick your boo-boos. Bad things happen.

A Bindi? Hilarious.

Bowling and what a small world it is

Tonight, I have returned from bowling. I am sore, but had a great time. We even beat the team we played against. It was really luck of the draw, since we had handicaps that worked to our advantage. Our new team name is Gallactic Gutter Gals.

I was watching TV the other night, Arrested Development, and who is on? None other than RICK HALL (previously mentioned in my blog.) He played a photographer. AND, I saw part of 7th Heaven and my improv teacher Karly was on it! Crazy! AND, if THAT wasn't enough, I am watching the Apprentice and (no, we already are watching the show because Angie is on it...) what project are they working on? Yet ANOTHER group I, Mrs. Han Solo have been affiliated with. They are doing a charity auction for the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation. I did the triathlon for that last September. Is Trump collowing my life? I would think so - there was that Nestle thing, and now the Ped AIDS. Cool, isn't it?

Work has been really busy. I am tired. I am watching more tv and then sleeping. zzzzzzz.

March 09, 2005

Look at me - I am blogging!

I am sitting in the lazy boy chair watching tv. I think it is so sweet! I am totally comfortable. I can type and not feel any back strain or leg strain. I can glance up at the tv when I need to.

I am watching a show on PBS about Broadway in the movies. They are showing clips from the late 20s and 30s. The Zeigfeld Follies had stars like Fanny Brice (not the Barbara Streisand one, the real one) and Sophie Tucker (referenced in the musical Chicago, also a real person.) The Gershwins, Lorenz Hart, Rogers and Hammerstein, so many talented men and women of the old Broadway scene. Lena Horne is singing Stormy Weather. She's so great. There is an all black musical called Cabin in the Sky, which coincidentally they JUST MENTIONED! Anyhow, it has some pretty great songs in it. I am sure there is lots of controversy about how some black people are portrayed, but there are some positive characters. Lena Horne is in the movie, that's why I mention it. Now they have moved onto the Fred and Ginger movies. I won't be giving a play by play account of the show, but it is right up my alley. One of the greatest American musical composers is Cole Porter. There was DeLovely, starring Kevin Kline, that came out last year about his life. By the way, did you know the song,"Happy Days are here again?" was actually about the end of Prohabition?

Now I can finally write the two quotes from Robert McNamara. Here it goes.

Quote 1 (in looking at the situation in Vietnam) "If we can’t persuade nations with comparable values the merits of our cause we’d better reexamine our reasoning."

Quote 2: "Never answer the question that has been asked of you. Answer the question you wish had been asked of you."

I have switched over to watching the soap opera I tape every night. Borning. Boring. Boring. They have a gal who is totally annoying (not a shocker.) A. she needs acting lessons B. She needs singing lessons c. Her character needs to be smacked down.

OMIGAWD! Excitment on my street just now! There was just a flurry of activity. Three fire trucks, two cop cars and an EMT truck. Some dude called 911 because his neighbor was having a smoking bbq in the backyard. Keep in mind that it is less than 10 degrees outside. Nice to know that the emergency people are so responsive. I like that.

To add to my night of excitement and thrills, I want you to know that I made dinner. Tilapia (I think that's what it is called) and some random bread product I had on hand. There is no meal like a bread filled meal. I also renewed my library DVDs online. I love that too. Very exciting, this technology of today. Just think, not so many years ago, people actually had to go walk into a library to renew materials. Strange days of long ago.

One more exciting thing before I sign off. I also fed Sparky.

Did your mama ever tell you...

...boring is as boring does? Only bored people are boring. I know, dumb, isn't it?

I have soooo much work to do today. I am taking a brief lunch break to blog. I hear that people can get fired for blogging. I just would hope that my company would at least warn me about blogging before the firing.

Anyhoooo, last couple of days I really haven't had anything to write about. I keep forgetting to blog at home with that Robert McNamara quote. It's a guudun. What have I been up to the last few days? Nothing really. I did go with Elissa to see The Merchant of Venice, starring Al Pachino, Jeremy Irons and Joseph Fiennes. I have to say that Jeremy and Joseph were pretty good. I don't think I have ever read the Shakespearian drama. I know of Shylock and Portia. I have to say that I thought Al sucked as Shylock. I was waiting for him to say something like,"Say hello to my little friend," whist whipping out a knife or something. The character, Shylock, has a couple of really great monologues. Al sucked. It was almost comical. So sad. But the story was really interesting. I also thought the sets, costumes and music were good.

Work is pretty busy. Better busy than slow, but it does get to the point where I feel guilty if I go home after the regular 8 hours. This is the life at an internet company. People tend to work 10 hours a day easily. I know that if I feel poopy or tired, I will go home and not work extra hours. I do take care of myself that way. But most of the time, I have nothing better to do than work, so I work. That will change soon. I am trying to get a copy of Final Draft (either from Doug or Ebay) so I can work on my screenplays. I had thoughts of one last night. It starts of with two teenage girls talking on the phone. You can't see where one of them is calling exactly. Kinda like Heavenly Creatures, one of the girls murders her mother. But that's all I have for now. If I tell you more, I won't end up writing about it.

Sadly, lunch is over. I have to get back to work. More blogging tonight. Oh, tomorrow is Bowling Night. That should be exciting. I think we bowl until the first week of May. Yippee!!

Another perk this week is it will be payday Thursday. That is a beautiful thing. I will pay my car registration (still in California) and maybe, finally buy a printer and the plane ticket to CA. Gas prices just shot up, so I might wait another few weeks. We shall see. I heard rumor that Jet Blue will have flights to Burbank. I just hope they fly out of Burlington to Burbank. I am sure they will fly from New York or Newark.

What to do this weekend? Maybe go to Stowe. I heard we will have snow this weekend. Snow in Stowe = good times.

Quick thought on (orginal) Star Wars and Indiana Jones

I just had a thought. What is it EXACTLY about Star Wars (the original ones) and Indiana Jones that is so attractive to men between the ages of 21-45? And why don't more women love them as much as I do? I know why I love them. It's not so much Harrison Ford, but his characters (I suppose the dialogue, acting, sets, costumes, music... count too, but....) I rarely have met a guy who DIDN'T like those movies. I will expand on this later, but for now I just had this brief brain explosion that I felt I should write out.

Bowling is awesome - Dad, Angie and company on tv

Last night, Carrie and I went to our new Thursday night slot of bowling. We have moved to Thursday because it gives us something to do during the weekday. It really breaks up the mundane routine. We are on Team 6, with Darlene and Sara. Darlene (50ish) and Sara (40) are sisters. We played against more of their kin, on Team 5. We had a blast. I tried out my new bowling shoes. Though they didn't help me score big points on the boards, I was glad to have them. We had a really great time. The ladies were fun and didn't take themselves to seriously.

The other night, I was channel flipping through to PBS, when what do I hear? My DAD! A couple of years ago, he was interviewed for a story about the American Orient Express. He is a guide on the train a few times a year. It was great to see and hear him.

Angie was brought into the boardroom last night on the Apprentice. I was glad to see that she not only held her own, but survived. There was this one really funny moment, when Angie said,"Hello?" a common response that some of us say. The Donald raised up his eyebrow. It was soooo flipping funny!

This morning on the local news, our company was mentioned. We are working with the state to hire and retrain people. It is a cool program. For just a blurb, our company was mentioned. It was thrilling!

Today was a really busy day. I got a contract for a site that has five subsites. It is a big whopping chunk of money too. I hope that I can get the site up without issue. I think I will come in to work tomorrow to work on it, so I don't feel behind next week. There are a couple of other sites I need to catch up on as well. Carrie and I might go see a movie tomorrow.

I am tired. No more typing.

Feeling better and Oscar weekend stuff and the Psychic...

I am feeling much better. I think yesterday, being Monday and having sooo much to do was a little overwhelming. I also was feeling a bit crampy. That never helps the situation. We were having network problems, which sssslllooowwwed things down in a very unproductive way. All is well now.

This past weekend was pretty good. I did errands on Saturday to prepare for the Oscar party on Sunday. I didn't get around to seeing Million Dollar Baby, but Carrie and I saw Hitch. It was entertaining. I enjoyed it.

Sunday - I did more Oscar errands in the morning and early afternoon. Carrie came over at about 6ish and we went over to Elissa and Rocky's house to set up. We decorated the house with gold stars and I had the Madonna dressing room sign up too. (Why I brought it with me to Vermont, I don't know. Maybe it was just for the party.) Elissa's friend Mark came over and helped set up. Later, Greg from work came. There was lots and lots of food. (It wouldn't be a Mrs. Han Solo party without that!) We had lots of kinds of dip, crackers, chips, strawberries and whipped cream, chocolate sauce, cookies, chocolate pie, cheeses, veggies, drinks etc. During commercials, I asked trivia questions or did charades for which the winner would get an Oscar buck. The Oscar buck was a little picture of the poster, about an inch or two in size. Periodically, I would pass out prizes for the most/least bucks, who got the winning award question right, etc. I had some pretty good prizes if I do say so myself - popcorn, Blockbuster gift cards, puzzles, candy, coffee gift cards. I think everybody had a really good time. I know I did. It was fun. See all of the attendees?

And here's Elissa - She was a superhero.

I am thinking that next year, I will do it big time - get the city of Burlington to co-host. If they sponsored it, we could do it at a hotel with entry fees for charity. It might clash with Mardi Gras, but maybe we could combine the two. Who knows. Think big.

My friend Heather works for Leeza Gibbon's production company. Leeza does a radio show in Los Angeles and pre-records it. Last week, they had a psychic on. Heather suggested I call in. I did and asked Laura the psychic two questions. The first question was if living in Vermont was the right place for me to be and about my writing. She said that it was the perfect place for me to be right now in my life, and eventually I will return to Los Angeles. I then asked her about my love life. As Han Solo is the only man for me, I don't even need to go into details on that one. When her predictions come true, I will let you know. Of course, it is just the power of suggestion. It was fun. I even got a couple of other people to call in.

Lunch is over. Back to work.

March 01, 2005

I am pissy.

That's all I have to say for now. I am in a very bad mood. More on the fabu weekend and Oscar party later. It's work, making me pissy.
