A PARADE FOR A STREET?

Omigawd, this morning the neighborhood had a parade for one of the streets, which I guess turned 100. A PARADE FOR A STREET? It's an annual event. There was a band, firetruck, Shriners, and a bunch of people whose purpose was unclear. Very odd. Took about 10 minutes. Then it was over. Nothing there. They had done a bunch of repaving over the spring and summer. That was another reason to celebrate. The whole rennovation cost about $6 million dollars in state and local $$. Maybe I missed something, but I don't understand why it cost that much to repave a street.

I have been productive - did my laundry, went to WW (gained) and went grocery shopping. Now I am off to see "Junebugs". More on that later.
